Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i accidentally deleted or uninstalled something, from what i remember it was "HP hardware" something or other.  I thought it was to do with an old printer but it seems it's laptop operation related as i can't use my laptop anymore. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, J.

If you post the model number of the laptop or just go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4511095-4511141-16

for the HP Recovery tool, if your model is supported.

If it is not supported, then you can get the Windows 10 install media from here:

If you need the install media for Windows 10, you can make it from this Microsoft download

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

With a working PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media"
and then follow the directions. You can make either the DVD or USB. Use this new media to reinstall Windows 10.
When the install asks for the product key, click the "I don't have a product key" option to continue,
then the install will continue. It will be activated once it connects to the internet, as it uses a digital key.

Hi, thanks for the reply, i have given my laptop to a friend of my daughter's who works with computers as his job so hopefully he will be able to fix it for me, he's done similar for her before.  I'll keep the info you've suggested though for future reference or if he can't fix it.  Thanks again 🙂
