Hi, I want to update the BIOS to my hp pavillion PC, the current version is 3.19 and I found a newest version 3.28.
I do not use windows but I use it with a light version of Ubuntu, so I can not use the windows utility I found "Bios Update HP T3100-en sp26760.exe"
I created a usb key or a cd startable but the flashbios utility "dc7800 Microcode DOS Flash.zip" tells me that do not supports my system. Which utility can I use to load the new BIOS in DOS?
Below is the computer and BIOS information.

This I think I have solved it, you download PEBuilder.exe and you create a USB stick, then the Bios Update file HP T3100-en sp26760.exe you can have it on the stick or on your computer and you can start it. I still do not try if it is successful.

On this forum, from 2012, see:
You have a very-old computer, designed to run Windows XP.
Why are you trying to update the BIOS?
Do you have a spare disk-drive, and a copy of Windows XP?
If so, remove your disk-drive, connect that spare disk-drive, install Windows XP to that disk-drive, and then run that program to update the BIOS. Remove that disk-drive, and reconnect your disk-drive.

I'm trying to update BIOS because I have found a new one and because I wont to be sure that in the future, if I buy a new processor it can be supported from mainboard. I have read that the mainboard can support 6600 processors too..that can be some core duo 2.4 processor and improve performances.
I have found that computer on the road, cleaned and now it do as internet web server. Mi little server, even in the next future it will do only as mysql server.
I can try to install windows XP on a spare disk, as you write, but it so long to install a operating sistem only for a bios Upgrade, but if it is the last change for do it.... I have more copy of windows.
Then If I found a flashbios DOS program that execute correctly for mi pc, it's better.
There's a list from HP of officials supported CPU for that mainboarrd ?
