HP AIO Desktop

Hello,

My desktop computer has been incredibly slow ever since I received it from my grandparents, about 2-3 years ago. Recently it has gotten so bad that I have attempted to reset it multiple times. The first time I tried to do the basic reset but the process wouldn’t go through. Now I am attempting the HP Recovery Reset & I keep getting the same Restoration Incomplete message with “the system cannot find the drive specified” in the cmd prompt. It gives me three options: Retry, Details, & Save Log. Help! I also would like to add that I chose to have nothing backed up as I’m assuming something was downloaded before I received the computer to make it this slow so I wanted a completely clean slate.

Greetings @emmyjemmy

Welcome to the HP Forum.

It looks like your PC may have a failing system drive. This could also be the reason why the PC was so slow.

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

You may have to replace the system drive if hardware diagnostics indicates this drive is in trouble or if the drive cannot be found.

Regards
