Since I downloaded Windows 11 on my desktop I am having an issue with the HP Smart App. When I click on it the App background is blue with the writing HP Smart. It then asks if I want the apps to change my computer and I answer yes but it then goes back to the blue app and does not open. I have tried to delete the app and reinstall it through the Windows store but the same thing happens. It does open sometimes but takes almost 1 minute to do so. I use it to scan documents so I can preview the scan and I can save it where I want to. My printer is the HP Envy 4500. If anyone can help I would appreciate it . My computer is out of warrantee since this past November

The problem is the printer software. The full feature driver package is dated Dec 6, 2021 and only windows 7 and 8 are mentioned. The users manual mentions and application that does the scanning and it is NOT HP Smart

Use the file manager to look in the HP folder for something named "HP Scan"
It may have a different name as I have a different LJ.
If there is no HP folder then try that download url
I have almost the same problem with HP Smart as you do. I have to touch the control panel to wake up the printer as HP Smart does not wake it up.
My HP Scan app works perfectly and wakes up the printer instantly.
