MY HP pavilion 590-P044 got repalced, and HP Support Assistance had both the old and new listed. I deleted my old one, but somehow delted the new one by istake. Now, I can't add my new one to HPSA. It keeps saying it's already added. Ho do I get it relisted?

Well, that explains why the HPSA cannot "see" the system. It does not exist. Smiling.
Actually, it does exist - using the product number 3LA79AA brought up the information:
So, I cannot answer the question about why HPSA cannot detect the computer.
If HPSA provides the option to "connect" / detect the system using the Product Number, that would perhaps work.
You could contact HP Technical Support - system is likely under warranty. Standard Warranty does not cover software; but the question might get the tech's attention and they might look at it.
Really, though the HPSA software is convenient - and you don't need it.
You can do what thousands of people do (deliberately): manage the system and install HP Updates manually.
Software and Drivers - HP Pavilion 590-p0044
Expand the whole list (boxes with + inside) - peruse the list, download what you want, save to the computer, install.
To see what you already have installed, you know to look in the Device Manager.
Software and Drivers - Expand, Read, Decide
Start at the top of the list of drivers (for convenience) Install things like the chipset first, the graphics, audio. When you get done, THEN consider updating the BIOS as a separate update (not mixed in with other software / driver updates). READ the information first - and unless you feel like the computer is really in need of the new BIOS, consider hanging out without for awhile. Nothing says "disaster" like doing everything right and still having an unnecessary BIOS update crash and ruin your day.
Caveat
Do not let the HPSA manage the BIOS update, even if you get HPSA working and HPSA offers the BIOS.
BIOS updates should be done manually, on your own schedule, and when needed to fix a problem.

Regardless, if you know what you have, and HP can find the model, the following procedure may work to "start over" with the HP Support Assistant.
NOTE:
Select the option for "complete cleanup", that is,
- When asked whether to do so, select the option to remove your personal information.
- After the HPSA is uninstalled and the computer has been Restarted, uninstall the HP Solution Framework, then after the Framework software is uninstalled, (again) Restart the computer and log in.
Read sections, then decide how to proceed.
Procedure Details - The HP Support Assistant – Remove and Install
Remove the existing version of HPSA
Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features
Scroll down, find, Uninstall the HP Support Assistant
After the uninstall is completed, Restart the computer and log in
NOTES
For "complete" cleanup of the old version of the HP Support Assistant:
- When / If asked whether you want to save any of the presets / personal HPSA information, respond to have any (personal) data associated with the program removed along with the HPSA software.
- HP Solutions Framework is a subset of HPSA. If you intend to uninstall the HP Support Solutions Framework (from Programs and Features), FIRST uninstall the HP Support Assistant and Restart the computer. Uninstall Framework software from Programs and Features. Restart the computer and log in. NOTE: Framework (re)installs with the HPSA.
- After the software is uninstalled (and the computer is Restarted), check to ensure the software is actually “gone”.
Settings > Apps > Apps & features >
Scroll down the list, look for HP Support Assistant (and / or HP Support Solutions Framework)
If the stubborn software is found in the list, click and uninstall it, Restart and log in.
Download, Save, Install the latest supported HP version of the HP Support Assistant
Website / Download
- If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, select run as Administrator
- After the software is installed: Restart the computer and log in
After the software is installed, PIN the program to your Windows Start Screen
Windows key (Start) > list "All apps" > open category "H"
Click open category HP Help and Support
Right-Click on HP Support Assistant > PIN to Start

You are welcome.
Do not give up entirely.
Try installing the Chipset driver (if it needs it) - Restart the computer and log in.
Open HPSA and see if the program can detect the system.
After you manage to get the system "updated" to a reasonable state (most drivers updated and Windows Updates current), try again.
There might be some sort of "tangle" in the File System that is preventing the HPSA from seeing the computer.
It might make sense to tag HP and see if they want to take a look. The Response center is mostly used to handling hardware (as that is the only kind of warranty most people bother to have) - there are internal HP teams, however, that know the file system and understand the software. They might well be interested in your situation. The worst that can happen is that you get stopped at the door: "Yeah, not hardware. Sniff."
Also - the HPSA is updated every so often. This is one of those cases where "newer is better". The HPSA software is indeed being improved; newer versions, when they become available, are worth trying.
