HP Touchsmart 520-1168 pc. Hard drive crashed completely. Cannot recover data. Cannot find any recovery disks? I have installed a copy of Windows 7 and copied and installed as many of the original drivers as I could but still very wonky. How do I get the computer back to original OS so I can attempt to upgrade to Windows10?

Hi:
Unfortunately, HP has retired support for that model series since it is more than 10 years old, and HP quit selling W7 recovery media for that model many years ago.
Your PC is not supported for W10 since it was made prior to August of 2013, so you may as well go ahead and try to upgrade to W10 if you at least have an internet connection, because W10 will install whatever drivers are needed.
Do not be surprised if the touchscreen doesn't work on W10.
Click on the blue Update Now button at the link below to upgrade to W10.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
The only place I know of that sells W7 recovery media for your PC would be this vendor at the link below.
I don't know how much they will charge to mail the recovery media to Canada.
Generally the audio doesn't work on that model after upgrading to W10, so if that happens to you, see if this W10 driver works...
This package provides the IDT Tempo High Definition Audio Driver for supported desktop models that are running a supported operating system.
