Product: HP Z440 Base Model Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi All,
‘I’m trying to do a fresh install on my HP Z440. It’s has 256 SSD connected with a HP PCIe to M.2 adapter board and a 500 gb SATA hard drive. I’m trying to install windows 10 but the installation keeps failing. The installation boot USB can see the SSD but will either fail at the start of loading the operating system or when it’s time to reboot. I thought to bypass the SSD and try loading windows on the SATA drive but the boot USB won’t see that disk. It seems weird as everything I read online says windows finds it hard to see the SSD.
Has anyone come across this issue before?
Thanks,
Lee
