@Bill-45 sorry to hear it. Your situation is certainly worse than mine. In my view this goes beyond customer service. HP's IT systems can't track their product, and customer service is powerless to change that. I suppose they move heaven and earth for their enterprise customers, but we consumers don't have their clout.

 

As it happens, I'm active on the support forum of one of HP's competitors (the biggest one). I would have preferred to purchase from them, but HP's AIO desktops seemed more consumer-focused and provided more bang for the buck. Like you, I'm happy with the actual product, but I agree, HP is a mess. It's certainly the last business they'll get from me.

Just wanted to report that I checked today, and HP has now validated the serial number of the AIO system. Happy holidays!

Thanks, it worked. I guess this is our Christmas gift from HP. It even shows my correct 3 year warranty, although HP Support Assist still shows 1 year.

Support Assist just updated too. My Care Pack is also registered without me registering it. They should know that I bought it as it was directly from HP.
