Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

hi all, i need help to install bios n drivers for HP Pavilion p6390d Desktop PC, MS-7313 mobo.

Got it as 2nd hand on carousell so i do not have the recovery discs...

Managed to download all the drivers via HP support link but the bios file (Motherboard BIOS Update v5.15) is in .exe format...

Can i still proceed to install using a usb drive with the stored bios exe file at boot up?

Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks all.

It is highly doubtful that the previous owner(s) of the computer "wiped" the contents of the BIOS.

If they did, you are "up the creek without a paddle" -- it's almost impossible to load a BIOS onto "bare metal".

If you power-on the computer, and press DELETE, does it enter BIOS SETUP?

If so, then the existing BIOS should be adequate to install an operating system.

After the O.S. has been installed, you will have the ability to update the BIOS.

Please read the "Installation Instructions" on the page:

https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-pavilion-p6300-desktop-pc-series/40798...

for how to use that '.exe' file.
