Hi,
My (old) HP pro 3500 won't display anything when booting. The fans spin upand I can hear the hard drive being used.
Can anybody help?
If anybody needs more info about the system I can say, but I wont have anything.

I'm sorry, but HP only warranties their PCs for usage with the OS that comes preinstalled.
IF you replace that with a Linux distro, or add a Linux distro, then you assume full responsibility for maintaining that -- including solving any problems with booting the other OS and/or installing the other OS.
Your best bet for support with issues with Linux is to contact the support forum of the distro you are using.
I will add, though, that the text display during boot is controlled in the BIOS settings, usually in the Boot section. You need to look there and see what options exist to disable any graphical boot image.
Good Luck

Thanks,
I know that it would not have been covered by warrenty.
It does not display anything to the monitor, it says that there is no source.
I don't mind if it is broken (it was unused at my mum's work) and there is another one.
Thanks for the reply anyway.
