8Gg should work on your system.
Does each memory stick work?
Have you tried resetting the CMOS?
There may be differences even if they appear to be identical
Please download CPU-z and compare the SPD of each memory stick and look for differences.
There are other diagnostics but I am familiar only with CPUz
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
should look like this:
You can use WndowsKey +shift + S to copy an image like the above and drop into word or paint

Unfortunately, these are not matched chips. In addition one of your slots is defective. Please use a magnifier and enough light to look in the slot for debris or obvious corrosion**. Use a cleaning duster to blow the sockets out. Over time dust can harden and be difficult to remove.
The following memory tester can detect address errors cause by bad socket and (possibly) out of order arrangements.
With only one slot working there is obvious problem that needs to be fixed.
** if corrosion possibly the following

I would not use cotton swab or soft paper or anything that might disintegrate and leave particles in the slot. Brushes can lose a piece of fiber so they are out also.
