HP Pavilion Notebook

There's always an issue of "Hard Disk Error". Even if I try to select other startup options, it immediately goes back to "Hard Disk Error" and asked me to run the "Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics". When I run the Hard Drive Check, it passes the "SMART Check" but it fails the "Short DST" check. I can't do anything else because it only allows me to test. Any other options don't work because it brings me back to the same screen with the same error. Please provide some assistance as this issue has persisted for a while now, about a few months.

Your notebook hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced with a new one of similar form factor 

 

Contact HP directly with failure ID after the tests, to get it replaced free of cost.

 

Use HP recovery USB that you must have created at initial setup of this notebook, to factory reset OS after HDD replacement.
