Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My desktop's hard drive runs constantly, from the time I boot it up to when I shut the desktop off. All applications take forever to open. What can I do to speed up my computer?

Most likely RAM is too small therefore machine has to paging/swapping in/out and HDD keeps spinning to dead.  You can upgrade to 16GB using compatible RAM such as
