Hi @Rolly8009

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Congratulations on your new HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-3000i! Here's a guided walkthrough to help you with setting up your desktop computer for the first time:

1. Unpack Your Desktop PC:

  • Carefully remove your PC from its packaging.
  • Gather all the items that came with it, including the keyboard, mouse, power cord, and any other accessories.

2. Position Your PC:

  • Place your desktop on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space for ventilation around all sides.

3. Connect the Components:

  • Monitor: Connect your monitor to the desktop using HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA cables, depending on the monitor's compatibility.
  • Keyboard and Mouse: Plug them into the USB ports.
  • Internet Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to your desktop for wired internet, or use Wi-Fi by setting it up during the Windows installation.
  • Power: Connect the power cable to the desktop and plug it into a power outlet.

4. Initial Start-Up:

  • Press the power button to turn on your PC. Allow it to start up and boot into Windows 11.

5. Windows 11 Setup:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up Windows 11:
    • Select your region and preferred language.
    • Connect to Wi-Fi if you didn’t connect through an Ethernet cable.
    • Sign in with your Microsoft account or create a new one.
    • Set privacy and signing preferences as per your preference.

6. Personalize Your Settings:

  • Adjust the settings like display resolution, power options, and notification preferences according to your needs.

7. Install Updates:

  • It's important to check for Windows updates and driver updates. Go to Settings > Windows Update, and install any available updates.

8. Install Necessary Software:

  • Install any additional software or applications you need for your home use (e.g., Microsoft Office, antivirus software, etc.).

9. Secure Your PC:

  • Ensure that Windows Defender is enabled or install another antivirus software for protection.
  • Set up a secure password for your Windows account.

10. Enjoy Your New PC:

  • Once setup is complete, enjoy using your new desktop for all your computing needs at home.
