Hello,
Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.
1. Make sure your file is well saved in your PC on your HDD (for example).
* How to scan (article from HP) can be found here >> https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c03466081
* How to scan - Windows 10 >> http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-10/how-to-scan-documents-in-windows-10/
* How to scan - Windows 7 >> http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-7/how-to-scan-a-document-in-windows-7/
2. Follow the steps here to attach the file in an email >> https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/attach-files-xfinity-connect
If any issues, reach to the XFinity support team.
Note that usually an email attachment should be 10 MB or smaller to be successfully transferred.
Hope this helps. Let me know if this works for you.

I'm using HP 450 a24 Desktop & HP Deskjet 1510 printer/scanner. Windows 10 Operating System. Simple question - How do I attach document properly loaded into printer/scanner - but not copied anywhere - onto email? I have been given run-around for 2 hours. Skip ALL unnecessary info. PLEASE make reply as short as possible!

Hi @Dick_B1
Thank you for posting back.
The printer you have is a printer/scanner/copier = 3in1 device. It does not support auto-email or auto-upload into a web-based email service. Sending from within the printer is supported only via some business class printers. Therefore, if you want to attach the document into email and send it somewhere, you need to :
- first scan this document
- save it on in your PC as a file
- then attach the file into your web-based email
- (and potentially send the email with the attachment, eventually).
Of course, your printer (3in1 device) must first be installed in the PC (its > drivers) >> https://support.hp.com/lamerica_nsc_carib-en/document/c03521864
Detailed instructions how to complete all that are provided in the first response above
>> https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c03466081
>> https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/attach-files-xfinity-connect
I believe I have provided to you the correct answer and instructions based on the information provided from you. If it's not, please elaborate with details. Thank you in advance. You need to follow the instructions and do it on your own - I am afraid it cannot happen automatically , just like that or with a magic wand
