How do i remove a stuck disc from the Hp des

If you have a tower case and CD/DVD is vertical then occasionally the door cannot open because the CD is stuck behind it. Lay the tower chase flat so the CD drops down where it's supposed to be and then try to eject it.

Many optical drive have emergency pinhole eject.

  • Close any applications using the drive and then shut down the PC.
  • Find the pinhole on the drive door.
  • Bend part of the paperclip to a point. Insert the paperclip slowly until there is resistance, then gently push until the drive door is opened.
  • Pull the drive tray out and remove the disk. Close the tray.
