No error messages. Nothing is wrong. I just wanted to start using the drive again with newer recovery options since I haven't use that Drive at all for some time. I have only used disks. Would like to have my HP Recovery Drive (D) start doing automatic backups again.

Since you already have working Recovery disces, you don't need Recovery 😧 you can delete 😧 and or format it using Windows Disk Management. Please use the following tutorials to do this
http://www.disk-partition.com/windows-10/windows-10-disk-management-0528.html
Since C: and 😧 are on a SAME physical HDD, no point to backup C: on 😧 because when physical HDD failed the backup could be useless. I would use external HDD to do the backup.
Regards.

THANK YOU!!! That information is invaluable! I will do as you suggest!
If the Recovery Drive (D) is on the same Hard Disk as the C Drive and if C Drive Fails it will be useless anyway, why was I having my drive automatically backed up there for the last several years?
Also, what will it (D Drive) be good for once I erase it? Is there any point to erasing it?
I have 87% free space on my hard drive as it is right now.
I don't know anything about external hard drives, but would like to learn. I assume that HP has a tutorial on that as well?
Uh Oh.... I just realized that the tutorial link that you provided is for Windows 10 and I have Win 7 64 bit. Will it still work for Windows 7 ???
I have intentionally avoided upgrading to 8, 8.1 or 10, for a number of reasons. I don't trust the newer versions and I have been so happy with Win 7. I wish they wouldn't force people to upgrade by making things obsolete for older desktops and Win versions.
