Yes, that's the info I needed.

See if this works for you...

Your PC has a Village motherboard with the SSID of 86F7

Make a USB BIOS recovery flash drive with the latest BIOS update for your motherboard's SSID.

See this video for how to make the BIOS USB recovery drive.

Here's the link to the latest BIOS update HP currently has for the ROM Family SSID 86F7 motherboard:

Version F.44:

HP All-in-One PC 24-df0000i Software and Driver Details

After you create the USB BIOS recovery drive, follow the instructions that show up after the USB recovery drive has been successfully created.

This should be what you see because I just used my PC to create the BIOS recovery drive with the BIOS file link I posted.

1. Power off the device to be recovered.

2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.

3. Power on the device.

4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.

Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

Hi, what if I use windows 10, do I still download this version?

HP Recommended

Yes, the file is good for both W10 and W11.

If you click on the 'View all' next to the operating system version, it shows that information.

Not to mention that you will be running the BIOS recovery outside of Windows.

No, that file has a different motherboard SSID (86F8).

A while back, another forum member with the same model as yours had the same issue and the information I provided solved the problem.

The BIOS file I gave this person was the latest one at the time.

Well I tried it. But now it keeps going to automatic repair instead of showing me the error sign.

You'll probably have to reinstall Windows.
