Hi all
I have a HP Envy 700-230 that has a wireless keyboard
How am I supposed to access the BIOS as the Keyboard drivers are not loaded until after the machine has booted and there are no normal keyboard connects on this PC for a wired keyboard
With this sort of computor how am supposed to access the BIOS
Obviously at boot the reports a keyboard error and suggests I press escape to access the BIOS which I cannot because at boot there is no keyboard present.
Thanks for any help with this.
Jeanette

While not a definite answer but try a wired USB keyboard in place of the wireless one. There may be a setting in the BIOS to change the way the keyboard interacts on boot but, of course, you have to get into the BIOS. Looking at other comments on this problem, if you happen to have a PS/2 keyboard and a PS/2 to USB adapter, then this seems to be a better choice. Plug the PS/2 keyboard into the PS/2 to USB adapter and then try that on boot to enter the BIOS. Then look for the setting to allow the keyboard to be recognised at boot. Another choice is to move the USB port the wireless keyboard uses. If the back ports, move to the front, if the front move to the back.
Let me know if any of those help.

Is this keyboard the one that came with the PC or one that was installed later?
