Another way to enter safe mode is as follows when running under the OS.

 

Open the Run window and enter: MSCONFIG

 

Go to the boot tab

Click on safe boot

Click on make boot setting permanent

Click on apply

Click on OK

Reboot the PC

This will keep your PC in safe mode until your reverse the process.

Don't forget to return after you are finished with safe boot and untick the safe boot option.

Otherwise, it will start in safe boot each time you power on.
