Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to extend my storage space using ASUS Hyper M.2 Express using two extra 2TB eNVMs. The OS only recognizes the first one. My understanding is that I need to configure PCIe bifurcation in BIOS, but I do not see that option there.  Has anybody done this with Z2?

Thank you

This question has come up a number of times and a few HP motherboards do support it. I suspect the g5 does not.

I looked here at your simulate bios (I do not have your system) and it appears you can set the generation for the slot to be 1,2, 3 or auto.  I do not think lowering the generation will help.  I did find that necessary on mining systems to get all graphics boards to be recognized.

I suspect you will have to obtain a PCIe adapter that has built in firmware to make up for missing bifurcation something like the following  https://www.amazon.com/Dual-Adapter-RIITOP-Support-22110/dp/B08P57G1JW

I have no idea if it works on your system.

The z640 support bifurcation FWIW

The latest bios for your system, Dec 2021, did not mention adding bifurcation
