Go into the BIOS setup and press F9 or whatever keys sets defaults.
Go to the date and time and set the the local time accurately.
You may need to replace the CMOS battery
How to replace the CMOS battery: Unplug from wall and touch the Power-On button 2-3 times to discharge the internal capacitors. Touch the metal case with your finger before touching the motherboard to discharge any static electricity you or the case may have.

I am glad you got it working and had no problem removing the battery.
Some are difficult to remove and I have had to replace battery sockets that were damaged by the owner in an attempt to remove.
