Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My BIOS settings are accessed through F12/troubleshooting/advancedOptions.  A tab is displayed which says "change UEFI/BIOS settings.  Selecting that gives a screen with no settings menu and just a restart button.  Apparently, there isn't anything I set or change on this screen.

I want set an admin password for my UEFI settings and menu.  Also, I thought I could set a password on my hard drive to limit

access to it.  What am I doing wrong?

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Set a BIOS Password:

Start the PC.

Tap "F10" to get to the BIOS.

Navigate to the "Security Menu".

Select "Setup Password" to create a BIOS password.

Navigate to the "File Menu".

Save changes and exit the BIOS.

I am not aware of any way to set a password for the HDD. You can encrypt the storage disk if you have W10 Pro.

Regards
