How old is the computer?

Is the HP Warranty still valid? If so, HP will fix, at no cost to you.

Some computers have a "rocker-switch" near to where the power-cord is connected to the back of the computer.

Flip that switch to the other position, and press ON/OFF.

Other possibilities:

* dead power-supply;

* dead motherboard;

* dead CPU;

* dead monitor;

* no power to monitor;

It's time to take the computer to a qualified technician.
