Hp support assistant in unable to down load the last two software updates due to a clash with Microsoft Antivirus, it detects the updated down load as a Trojan Trojan:Win32/Sonbokli.A!cl and blocks it. Ran two virus checkers including Malware bytes the laptop is clean. Any ideas anybody in rectifying the issue so that updates can be down loaded...  I have reset the HP support assistant... same issues repeated.

I have an HP Envy, and am experiencing the same thing for the Intel Human Interface Device (HiD) Event Filter Driver and the  Intel Serial IO Driver when I try to install them via the HP Support Assistant.

I really hope it's a false positive. Thanks for your post. It was nice to know it wasn't just me.

Hi, hopefully the end of the story, HP support came back and I believe they sorted something at there end with either the assistant or the new updates. The remoted into my laptop and it now works fine, however I have had to do a reset on the HP Support Assistant twice since and done a reboot. To find out how to do this - go into windows All settings/ apps. Select the support assistant application  then select advance options and click on reset.  Then restart your pc and set up HP assistant again… this seems to have cured all the issues.

cheers
