I am locked out of my HP laptop and it will not accept my security question

Steps to Unlock Your HP Laptop

Reset Password online: If your HP laptop is using a Microsoft account to sign in, you can reset your password online. Visit the Microsoft account password reset page and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Use Password Reset Disk: If you have previously created a password reset disk, you can use it to reset your password. Insert the disk into your computer and follow the on-screen instructions.
