Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to run a recovery CD to repair Windows 11 corrupted start up but there is no Legacy Support option in BIOS boot options menu. Therefore cannot boot up from external device so cannot fix my problem. HP support would not help because it was not covered by the warrantee. This question was answered by BillW50  but didn't help. He said to select the Legacy Option in the Bios, but there is no Legacy Boot option in the Bios on my computer?  My computer is a TG01-22060xt Pavilion Gaming running Windows 11.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to make a bootable W11 installation flash drive from the link below (second option).

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

Boot from the USB flash drive the tool created and when you get to the 'Install Now' screen, on the lower left corner of that window, there will be a 'Repair your computer' option.

Select that option and you will be able to perform the troubleshooting steps to repair your current installation.

It's not a Windows problem it's the Bios.

If you have disabled Secure Boot in the BIOS, and If your PC still can't boot from a CD or DVD, because there is no legacy mode option to select in the BIOS, then you have to make a bootable USB flash drive which you should be able to boot from to repair Windows.

You have no other option.
