Welcome to the HP English Community --

I am sorry this happened.

Very common.

Sadly, "real" in the sense that they took your money.

Not real because you did not purchase anything you need or want on your computer.

You were never talking to HP Support.

HP doesn't sell you $500 (or $5000) software to help with printer software of printer issues.

No legitimate company does this, in fact.

Vermin are an industry wide problem.

Yes...

Unfortunately, you were scammed.

Your computer was never full of bugs.

If you can do so, uninstall whatever they (or you) installed onto your computer.

Follow up with a deep scan using your own best security software to try and eradicate any additional malware or monitoring software.

Windows Defender comes with Windows and does a pretty good job -- use that if you don't have other.

What happened?

If you were wandering around on the Internet, you might have landed almost anywhere.

The really sneaky rats can spoof entire websites.

There are thousands of sites that are in business to take your money and sell you stuff you don't need or want.

Get Help --

You could try reporting the incident to your Bank -- see if they will reverse the charges for you.

Report the incident to the authorities!

If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.
