I recently purchased a hp desktop slims line computer, model 450-a24, and it came completely blank.  I need a recovery program disc.  Can anyone help?

Hi:

 

You can reinstall W8.1 for free...Here's how...

 

Clean install W8.1 by downloading the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file from the link below, using another working Windows PC.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO

Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.

Or you can use a free utility such as Rufus to make the ISO file bootable.

After W8.1 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

Or you can order a USB recovery drive for your PC from HP at the link below...

Hi Paul thank you for replying so quickly.  Only problem I have now is the link you sent me to order a thumb drive from HP for Model 450-100 Desktop states BAD REQUEST (recovery disc).  What I'm trying to restore is a Model 450-24 HP Desktop.  Can you send me the correct link.  I've tried repeatedly from Hp to get this help and they are ignoring me....lol   Thank you again.
