I cannot get past the power on screen to put in my login password. I have shut down the computer & restarted multiple times. I am on a wireless connection with my desktop computer.  My Wi-Fi is working.

Greetings @ShellyN1965

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Sounds like the PC can't detect the system drive or Windows is corrupted if the PC displays the BIOS screen at startup.

Is your PC displaying the Windows lock screen or is the PC loading the main BIOS screen? I'm not sure what is happening.

EDIT: I don't know, I'm thinking maybe your PC may have a USB problem affecting mouse and keyboard function if the PC is stuck at the Windows lock screen. Or both input devices have a problem if you can't dismiss the lock screen when using either device.

Try all USB ports to see if the mouse and keyboard work in other USB ports.

Check your PC's hardware if your keyboard works using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

Let the Forum know if drives are healthy.

Regards
