Hi @Noel1727,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing the image. It shows the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI interface (Version 2.3.3.0 – BIOS) with options like:

  • Processor Test
  • Memory Test
  • Storage Tests
  • Power Tests
  • System Board Test
  • Keyboard Test
  • Language
  • Exit

This screen appears when the system boots into HP’s UEFI diagnostics environment, usually outside Windows. If you’re seeing this after fixing BitLocker and then getting a network connection error, here’s what’s happening:

Why This Happens

  • The UEFI diagnostics environment does not support network connectivity for normal Windows functions. It’s only for hardware testing.
  • If your laptop boots here instead of Windows, it means the OS isn’t loading properly, possibly due to BitLocker recovery, boot configuration issues, or missing OS files.

How to Fix It

  1. Exit Diagnostics
    • Use the arrow keys to select Exit, then press Enter.
    • If the system reboots back to diagnostics, press Esc repeatedly during startup and choose Continue Startup.

  2. Check Boot Order
    • Press Esc → F10 for BIOS Setup.
    • Ensure your primary drive (with Windows) is first in the boot order.

  3. BitLocker Recovery Completed?
    • If you unlocked the drive, confirm Windows boots. If not, you may need to:
      • Run Startup Repair from Windows Recovery Environment.
      • Or boot from a Windows 11 installation USB and select Repair your computer.

  4. Network Error Context
    • If you saw “error to connect to network” during BitLocker recovery, it’s because network drivers aren’t active in recovery mode. You can skip the network and enter the recovery key manually.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
