I see people have patched using Rufus, but seems less than ideal.

Is there any Z840 compatible Xeon that will be Windows 11 approved?

 

It's a great machine and this seems like BS

HP Recommended

The PC does not support any processors that meet Microsoft's minim W11 hardware requirements.

 

Many folks on this forum have use the Rufus workaround to upgrade to W11 on their Z840's, and I haven't read of any issues.

 

There is also this method to easily do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11:
