I have new HP Envy Desktop Intel Core i7 w/Windows 11, am trying to transfer photos from flash drive to new computer, not getting anywhere - have not used Windows 11 before now.

You say "flash" drive but this is a vague term. So is it a memory card, and if so, what kind? Or is it a USB stick? Or is it an external SSD?
If either of the last two, you just connect it to a USB port on the PC and use File Manager to open the drive, locate the folder where the photos are located, and drag and drop them to a folder on the desktop.
