help, I have an ancient computer with password. I forgot the password it’s Windows 7 and I don’t know how to go into retrieve some important information

If all that is required is to find data and save it elsewhere, then there are several ways to accomplish thar task. Without having to buy anything, you can make a live version of a Linux software and boot the computer to that and use the Linux to find and copy the data to a flash drive or CD/DVD.
Another way is to buy a USB to SATA adapter, remove the drive from the old computer and then connect the drive to a hosting PC to do the search and save.
Those are the two easiest ways to save the data. I can give you the guidance for both or either way. Glad to help.
