Greetings @akshay1811

I also have an intermittent static problem in the left audio out channel. I have a Desktop PC. A restart has been temporarily fixing this until the static returns.

The: OS, BIOS, and all drivers are up to date.

I'm thinking I may have a MB hardware problem.

I might either: do an internal PCIe audio card (not possible with a Laptop) or an external USB DAC (you can try this) if the static issue gets chronic.

Is your PC's operating system up to date?

First try installing the latest audio drivers for your PC if the cracking sound is static coming from your PC's speakers.

Download and install the audio drivers available Here.

Audio static, if not corrected by updating audio drivers, can also be caused by electrical interference bleeding into the isolated audio chipset. This is a hardware problem which may require replacing the MB.

A BIOS update is available for your PC Here. Use AC power when doing a BIOS update

Doing the BIOS update is your decision. Be patient when doing a BIOS update, don't interrupt this update and loss of power during a BIOS update can corrupt the BIOS. .

I can't think of any other cause of the cracking sound unless a fan is doing this. I've never heard a fan make a cracking sound.

You would have to replace a fan.
