PC healthcheck tells me I need this.

Hi:

 

Either a PC comes with a UEFI BIOS or it doesn't.

 

Yours is too old to have come with a UEFI BIOS, and there is no way to add one or update the BIOS so it is UEFI.

 

If you are concerned about this matter because of upgrading to W11, your PC is missing other hardware requirements as well such as not having a supported processor (needs to be an Intel 8th gen core processor for W11) and it does not support secure boot, nor does it have a TPM 2.0 security device.

 

If you want to update to W11 on your PC as it is, you will have to use one of the few workarounds out there to bypass the W11 hardware checks.

 

I found this method to be the easiest way to do that.
