I'm trying to register a new HP desktop, but the web pages I try will not recognize the serial number I enter. The web site "register.hp.com" seems to be off line and any other hp site I go to just says my serial number is invaled. I also can't find a phone number where I can get an HP representative. I have verified the serial on the sticker on the bottom of the desktop, the lable on the outside of the shipping box and the packing slip that was inside with the desktop, all are the same.

Steps to Fix HP Serial Number Not Recognized:
1. Double-Check the Serial Number
Make sure you're entering the serial number exactly as shown:
- No extra spaces
- Use capital letters
- Avoid confusing characters (e.g., 0 vs O, 1 vs I)
You can also verify it using:
- HP Support Assistant (pre-installed on most HP devices)
- Command Prompt: Run wmic bios get serial number
2. Try the Correct Registration Page
The main HP registration page is: 🔗 https://register.hp.com
If that’s down or not working, try: 🔗 https://support.hp.com/us-en/register
3. Wait a Few Days
Sometimes, new devices take a few days or weeks to be added to HP’s backend systems. If your desktop was just shipped, this might be the case.
