I need help updating my BIOS!

I try to update my BIOS but I keep getting an error does anyone know hot to fix it or in there another alternative way to update my bios

current BIOS version

new BIOS version and relative spxxxxx number

and above all which is the error you get.

My current BIOS version is v01.02. The latest BIOS version is v01.14. What's the "relative spxxxxx number"?

I mean that this is the BIOS 1.14 package: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-compaq-8000-elite-convertible-minitowe...

when you download the file , you get sp73578   . https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp73501-74000/sp73578.exe

when you run sp73578.exe , it should extract to a folder C:\SWsetup\sp73578

in that folder you get this file :   C:/swsetup/SP73578/Bios%20Flash.htm

if you go in folder C:/swsetup/SP73578/HPQFlash

it should be enought to execute , HPQFlash.exe then follow the instruction

as it's an old model, I don't remeber if you have to do something more.

Thank you I made it seem difficult but you helped me finally update my BIOS. I appreciate your effort to help me update my BIOS, you got straight to the point and the steps were very simple to follow.
