Hi @shree21,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
If you are receiving a message during interviews that suggests you need to uninstall or turn off the HP Enhanced Camera on your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop (15-fa0000), it’s likely due to a conflict or misconfiguration with the camera software or drivers.
Here's how you can resolve the issue:
Steps to Troubleshoot the HP Enhanced Camera Issue:
Check Camera in Device Manager
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
- Look for any entries named HP Enhanced Camera or similar. If found, right-click and select Disable or Uninstall.
- Restart your laptop and check if the issue persists during your interview.
Uninstall HP Enhanced Camera Software
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Look for any software related to HP Enhanced Camera.
- Select it and click Uninstall.
- Restart your laptop to ensure all components are removed.
Update or Rollback Camera Drivers
- In Device Manager, right-click on your camera (like Integrated Camera or similar).
- Choose Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If issues started after a recent update, try Roll Back Driver under Properties > Driver tab.
Disable HP Enhanced Camera in Apps Settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Scroll through the list of apps with camera access and ensure that any HP Enhanced Camera settings are turned off.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @shree21,
Please find the remaining steps below.
Test Camera Using the Windows Camera App
- Open the Camera app from the Start menu to test if it functions correctly without the HP Enhanced Camera settings interfering.
- If the camera works properly here, it should function correctly in interview applications as well.
Use the Correct Camera in Your Interview Software
- Check the settings in your interview software (like Zoom, Teams, or other platforms) and ensure the default camera is set correctly (e.g., Integrated Camera instead of HP Enhanced Camera).
- Look for an option within the app to select or switch cameras.
Reset Camera Settings
- Go to Settings > Apps > Camera.
- Select Advanced options > Reset. This will reset the Camera app settings and may resolve any conflicts.
Reinstall Camera Driver from HP’s Website
- Visit the HP Support website and enter your laptop's model (15-fa0000).
- Download and install the latest camera driver available for your device to ensure compatibility.
Update BIOS and Windows
- Make sure your BIOS is up-to-date as it can sometimes resolve hardware compatibility issues.
- Ensure Windows is fully updated to avoid conflicts caused by outdated software.
If you continue experiencing problems, it might help to temporarily disable the camera in Device Manager just before the interview, or use an external USB camera as an alternative until the issue is fully resolved.
Or I recommend you contact phone support if the issue persists.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Method 1: Open MyHP and click on the video control (Optimize Conferencing and Streaming). This will redirect you to the Microsoft Store to install the required application. Once installed, simply uninstall it. After it is uninstalled, you will notice that the HP Enhanced Camera has also been removed.
Method 2: Open Settings and search for Camera Privacy Settings. Then, turn off MyHP's access to the camera, as MyHP provides the function for the HP Enhanced Camera.
I hope this works! Thank you!
