I have a broken laptop. The hard disk suffered failure about two years ago. I replaced the device, and thinking about selling the old laptop for parts. I need the memory to be erased before I take it in or take it apart. How do I erase all the memory from the laptop via BIOS screen? I loaded setup defaults and restarted the laptop. I did a memory check, which passed. How would I know that all memory (files, data, information) is completely lost? I’m really looking to do a factory reset from the BIOS screen.
