I need to factory reset and or reset laptop password

My grandmother has this laptop that she keeps asking me to help her use. Unfortunately my mom tampered with the password sheet I had written down for her; now there's 3 security questions to reset the password and my grandmother is clueless.

Factory resetting this device or having some work around to reset the password would be great. I have no idea how to factory reset without having logged in; so I was hoping someone could help me out here.

You can't do a factory reset because it will prompt for the password.

We are not permitted to help you resetting your password because we have no way to verify ownership of the computer.
