Use an external USB type dvd burner.
If you have USB2 only then be sure to get one that is certified for USB2. Typically they will have two USB connectors as USB2 only supports 1/2 an amp maximum.
If you have a USB3 port on your laptop then get a USB3 type external burner. For a little more you can get one that supports blueray disks but it is hard to find blueray anymore after Netflix and Reldbox dropped the rentals.
