HP Pavilion All-in-One PC 27-d0000a IDS Base Model

Every time I restart my computer I get the HP Display control update pop up. Even after I do the install, and hit restart I get the same pop up again each time. Are my updates behind that much or am I just getting the same update and it is not actually installing?

@Jeff325ci,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

I would like you to apply these three steps first:

1.) Type in: clean in your Windows search bar and run the Disk Cleanup App.  Make sure that all the boxes to the left are checked :

Then click on "Clean up system files", and after a moment the Disk Cleanup screen reappears.  Do the same thing: scroll down and make sure ALL boxes are checked off: . Then click OK, and when you see the query: "Are you sure you want to permanently delete these files?", click on "Delete Files". Depending how much stuff Cleanup has to dispose of, it may take a while before this task is completed.

2.) Then type in: cmd in your Windows search bar, right-click on the Command Prompt App and choose "Run as administrator". You may have to click on Yes (or OK) to acknowledge.  Once in Command Prompt, copy/paste/enter:

sfc /scannow

This may take (quite) a while to complete. Be patient.

Once completed, copy/paste/enter:

DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

This probably will take even longer to complete.  It may appear at times that nothing is happening: no worries, be patient.

3.) Then copy/paste/enter:

chkdsk /f

The Command Prompt App will ask you to run this command (Y/N) upon a restart.  Reply: Y (for yes) and enter.

Restart your PC.

Let's see if these steps will resolve your issue -please report back.

Kind Regards,
