HP All-In-One- PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I tried booting up my PC today, and I got the BSoD, then got something that said something like, "Fixing (C:)" or something. I think my hard drive may be corrupted. I got the BSoD 5 times in total. I unfortunately, don't know how to fix this, and I would appreciate it if someone told me what to do. Thanks.

Edit: I added the wrong thing as the product name. There are multiple all-in-one computers. Mine is an HP 20 CO20, I believe. Product number is V8P23AA#ABA.

Hi:

First run the  HP diagnostics program, and run the hard drive diagnostics test.

Do to that, turn on or restart the PC.

Turn on the PC and repeatedly keep pressing the ESC key until the startup menu appears

Press F2 to enter diagnostics

Perform the system test or at least the Hard Drive test

See if there are any failure codes.

If the hard drive fails the test, you will have to replace it with a new one.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

Microsoft Word - 852272-001 - Prost_HDD_CSR.doc (hp.com)

If the hard drive passes the test, then you will have to reinstall W10.

You can reinstall W10 for free by making a bootable USB recovery drive with the HP cloud recovery tool.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7) | HP® Customer Support

You will lose all data currently on the hard drive using this method to reinstall W10.

You will need to have access to another Windows PC running Windows 7 64 bit or newer, and a 32 GB USB flash drive.

This issue has been fixed! I did a system restore, and my PC is back to normal now.
