Hi @robert441,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP All-In-One PC running Windows 11, and a restart temporarily resolves the problem, there are a few potential solutions you can try
Update Network Drivers: Ensure that your network drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP website, searching for your specific model, and downloading the latest network drivers. Installing the latest drivers may resolve compatibility issues causing the connection problem.
Power Cycle Your Router: Sometimes, the issue may be with your router. Try unplugging your router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This will perform a power cycle on the router and may resolve any temporary glitches.
Windows Updates: Make sure that your Windows 11 operating system is fully updated. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that could address networking issues.
Network Troubleshooter: Run the built-in Network Troubleshooter on Windows. This tool can identify and automatically fix some network problems. To do this:
- Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
- Go to "Privacy & Security" and then select "Troubleshoot."
- Run the Network troubleshooter.
Reset TCP/IP: You can try resetting the TCP/IP stack to its default state. Open a Command Prompt with administrative privileges and enter the following commands:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Disable Fast Startup: Windows 11 has a feature called Fast Startup that can cause issues with network connectivity. Try disabling it:
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to "Power Options."
- Click on "Choose what the power buttons do."
- Uncheck "Turn on fast startup."
Check Power Management Settings for Network Adapter: Make sure that your network adapter is not set to turn off to save power. To do this:
- Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
- Expand the "Network adapters" section, right-click on your network adapter, and go to "Properties."
- Under the "Power Management" tab, uncheck the option that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
