Yes, you can upgrade your HP ProDesk 600 G1 Tower to an RX 580 8GB graphics card -which requires a 500-watt power supply upgrade equipped with one 8-pin PCIe power cable.

Best way of doing this is to use a special power adapter, which looks something like this:

This "24 Pin to 6 Pin ATX Power Adapter" cable can replace your proprietary power supply with an industry standard ATX power supply.  You'll have to look at the ATX's dimensions (LxWxH) for fit inside your case, but since you got the Tower model, there should be ample room to make an ATX power supply fit. You can easily purchase these power adapter cables online, such as via AliExpress.

What you should be looking for is an adapter cable which specifically references your HP ProDesk 600 G1, such as this Amazon-US link purchase example: Amazon.com: YEZriler 24 Pin to 6 Pin ATX Power Adapter Sleeved Cable for HP Z200 Z230 4300 6080 8080....

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
