Yes, you can. You do not need a new HDD. The IP address is a software settings / network ID for your network adapter.
You can change it easily from withing the settings. Here is how to do it in Windows >> https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/19249/how-to-assign-a-static-ip-address-in-xp-vista-or-windows-7/
Please, note that the IP address may need to be set to automatically assigned by a DHCP server (e.g. device acting as a DHCP server, like your router).
