HI,
Unable to install HP Support Solutions Framework - 13.0.1.131.
Had an old version 12.9.24.3 running but its impossible to deinstall: "getting message that it is being used by HP Support Assistant".

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand that you have HP Support Solutions Framework 12.9.24.3 installed, but you cannot uninstall it because Windows reports that it is being used by HP Support Assistant, preventing you from installing version 13.0.1.131.

 

Since HP Support Solutions Framework is used by HP Support Assistant and other HP support tools, please try this:

Close HP Support Assistant completely, including from the system tray.

Restart the PC.

Before opening HP Support Assistant again, go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.

Find HP Support Solutions Framework and try uninstalling version 12.9.24.3.

Restart the PC again.

Then install HP Support Solutions Framework 13.0.1.131.

HP confirms that the Support Solutions Framework can be removed through Add/Remove Programs in Windows.

 

If Windows still says the framework is being used by HP Support Assistant, please let me know the Windows version/build and the exact message displayed during the uninstall attempt.
