HP Pavilion HPE h8-1010t CTO Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

PLEASE hear me out.  I will admit the computer is out of warranty, I bought the new HP laptop last August due to problems with the desktop.  On the desktop I get an Error Code 3fo along with messages that the boot disk has not been detected or failed.  A test that I did indicate that Convention Test Failed, Drive Not Detected.  I used a W10 64 Bit Repair CD and I get to the point where the Windows logo appears then I get a series of options to boot and all fail.

I do not want to use the desktop anymore; I just need to copy files stored on the desktop desk.  I worked for over 30 years on large main frame computers and managing programmers.  I know squat about personal computers.  It seems to me that somewhere there is a utility that I can download to get past the boot problem.  Perhaps there is another way HP or Microsoft has a workaround way to provide me access to the data files. It has been running for some time now and I get messages thar "NO boot filename received", " No boot disk has been detected or the disk failed".

I realize that this is probably out of your ballpark, but I am  in desperate need of some of the data.   Any help from you will be greatly appreciated!

Greetings @jmb515

Welcome back to the Forum.

A SATA HDD to USB 3 power adapter or docking station should provide access to data on the HDD.

Data recovery would depend upon the condition of the HDD.

Check Amazon or other online retailers for purchase options.

Regards
