During a Windows 10 installation when I point to install on to the HP S750 1TB SSD 2.5" SATA III I a getting an irritating error that says "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one." Never had this trouble with HDD drives. Or other brands of SSD drives.
Can someone explain to me why I am getting this message with this specific SSD? Clearly I have a partition and its been formatted. I have formatted it twice on another PC using an external SSD cable etc. I have formatted within the Windows install process. Yet I keep getting this message.
So it is seeing the drive why do I get this message?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Does the drive test OK?
The message is indicating two things...can't create/can't find.
Could be the drive is defective.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if this works:
When you are at the screen where you get that message, clean the disk by using the Windows Dispart utility as follows:
- Press Shift+F10 from inside Windows Setup screen to open a command prompt window.
- Type diskpart and press the Enter key.
- Type list disk to find your disk number.
- Type select disk (e.g., select disk0) to choose the disk you want to format.
- Finally, type clean to wipe the disk completely.
- Exit diskpart and continue to install Windows.

Yes, I've done all of the normal hard drive troubleshooting. There is nothing wrong with the SSD, it simply gives an error during Windows installation.
I found a solution. I attached the SSD using an external USB DRIVE CASE and CABLE. I installed the portable Windows on to the SSD using RUFUS and an OS ISO then installed the SSD back into the PC. Once it was up using the new Windows installation I proceeded normally.
